Mitch + Katie = 8 years!

A few favorites...
The first night: Cedar City at a dance. He was only there for the weekend for a cousin's wedding, and asked me to go watch a dvd (we had never seen one of those before, you didn't even have to rewind or fast forward!). I turned him down 5x's, but his persistence paid off and I finally said yes!
Dating Mr. Romantic: Told me I was beautiful the first night we met (I couldn't believe he was talking about me, the one with red hair and freckles), sent me flowers the week after I met him, the homemade valentine card with glitter and all, mailed me a cute dress I commented on when we were hanging out the weekend before, flew me to Tahoe for lunch for my 20th b-day. I could go on, but it would be too long!
The proposal: Mission Impossible themed scavanger hunt through slc. His friends recorded him dressed in a suit & sunglasses, and going on about if I choose to accept this mission, and how the tape will self-destruct in 5 seconds. Totally funny! I got pulled over on state st. for speeding from clue to clue. It was hard, but worth it in the end. He was waiting for me in a park on a blanket with candles and dinner. After the gift, 1 dozen white roses, and ring, I knew he was serious. Then, after a few moments of bliss a cop (yes, another one) approached us and said it was against the law to have open flames in the park. Oops, our mistake.
The wedding: Absolutely perfect! SLC temple.
The past 8 years: Better than I could have ever imagined, and believe me...I did imagine. He never ceases to amaze me. Still completely romantic, kind, sweet, patient, spiritual, funny, amazing father, motivated, supportive, and a hard worker. He is my best friend, and I love him!
