news

We were absolutely captivated tonight as we watched the Antiques Roadshow. Not sure how it happened, but it did.

Let me set the scene.
Mitch and myself sitting by one another on the couch.
Kids running around-getting in the candy cupboard-us not caring.
Before we know it, we're making bets on what items-excuse me-"treasures" are worth.
Whoever is the closest without going over wins.

In reality, neither of us were very good at it.

Onto other news...

Bryn can read this book in it's entirety. Extremely entertaining.

No need to watch channel 5 now. I'm all caught up on local news. ;) Very nice.

We have that book too... It's Anna's favorite. Especially the elephant part. Chris and I used to watch Antiques Roadshow and it made me want to go yardsale-ing. I cannot drag myself out of bed early enough to do it though so that was the end of that grand idea.

That is Jason's favorite show too...we don't have a lot of choices with our bunny ears! :-)

I bought that book for Ashlyn when I was pregnant with Addison, thinking that it might help her potty train. When I received the book and read it to her for the first time, it literally made me throw up...mainly because I was pregnant and EXTREMELY sensitive, but now I'm so afraid of reading it. Ashlyn LOVES it!

I'm always amazed at the items they show on ARS and what it's worth. When we travel to visit Pete's brother in Colorado we see all these little antique shops in small towns along the way and I'm always thinking... hmmmm lets just stop at a few and look. Who knows, maybe we could strike it rich and retire young. ;)
