stoked!

We were overwhelmed by the amazing turnout, and generosity of everyone who came! Our hopes/expectations of this event were exceeded on many levels.
We had people from all over UT. A special package was mailed from Houston Texas (you know who you are, and we love you).

The DJ was awesome! If you are ever in need of DJ get in touch with Charlie, he's your guy.

I will try not to get teary-eyed as I write about the fabulous hosts, Zach & Miranda. They went above and beyond to help this little non-profit organization, and we are truly thankful.

Zach, Miranda (baby mirando), Katie, Mitch

At one point some crazed girl jumped in the sock box
924 pairs of socks donated!

Dancing crowd

Oops, we definitely exceeded the maximum capacity.
From about 6:30-7:15pm guests could barely even move.
Thanks to everyone who came and donated. Many feet will be warmed because of your willingness give. This will be an annual event, and next year's Sock Hop w/ Z Pizzeria is already in the works.
A few things to take note of for the next Sock Hop...
*summer of '09
*outside
*music & dancing
*be sure to wear your craziest socks

the instigators
If we are looking a little tired, it's because we were up till 5am the night before
having a
sleepover/baby shower in Park City. Such party animals!
Our story:
We met at SUU through Marcae, and became roomies our Sophomore year. Miranda has always been a dear friend, and I would even venture to say she could be the funniest person I know.
Thanks for...
~making all of us laugh on a daily basis
~dressing in overalls, stuffing them, and pretending to be pregnant
~the secret meeting at Denny's
~a few little running sessions
~helping me get ready before my 1st date with Mitch
~listening to me talk about Mitch everyday, of every hour, of every minute (sorry about that)
~showing us what a studious college girl should be
~participating in big boota
