o stickmas tree

I warned you that it was bad.

When people walk into our house and see this thing, they very appropriately burst into laughter. We have heard of some doing "drive-bys" just to get a good laugh in.
Yesterday morning it fell over. After this experience I am definitely not a fan of real trees. Initially, I was up for a real tree because of the nice smell, but this "beauty" doesn't even smell! I am totally over it, and told Mitch I would offer an award for it to go missing.
He on the other hand is loyal to this stick.
Last night when he was turning off the stick's lights I could hear him singing, "O Stickmas Tree, O Stickmas Tree..."

Coolest tree ever (besides ours of course)!

You think you are over the real tree until next year comes, and all you will think about is how you want your stickmas stick back in action.

Its beautiful.

I hear ya! Ours doesn't smell either and that was one of Tyler's biggest reason to get one. I will win this battle sooner or later!!! Oh I will !

Both Bryan and I are in tears! That is the the greatest "Stickmas" three I have ever seen. It, by far, surpasses our sad tree :) Ho Ho Ho!!

That is the hardest I have laughed all week! HILARIOUS! What do you mean that you are not a fan of real trees?! That is not a tree! I don't know what that is, but that is not a tree. . . but I am in love with it.

this is from Jonny (because he is too cool to comment himself). He worked for the forest service when he was 15 and said, "You're not supposed to cut down the seedlings that were planted the year before, Mitch!!"

I am so laughing out loud right now! Is this thre tree you guys ventured out into the wilderness to get?

Your car must have taken forever to get unstuck from the snow. I'm assuming you ran out of daylight and had to cut down the closest and smallest tree so you could leave with something.....ha, ha, still laughing....I LOVE it!

You weren't kidding when you said it was a stick! I sure hope that no one comes and steals that beauty of a tree... :)

It definitely is better in person. (And by better, I mean worse). However, I can help but smile when I think of it.
Thanks for dinner last night- we always have a blast at the Nelson house.

I love it! It made Blake and me laugh. Maybe if you buy some of that pine smelly spray...I hope all is going well for you!

That is awesome!! It's comparable to ours this year....but we have 3 pathetic excuses for a tree, instead of just one. The kids each have their own.
(Ken donated our big mother to the youth to decorate for an auction).

I think your tree is kinda adorable!

Brady is prompted to buy a new camera lens.

Never a good thing when the bottom and top of your tree are the same circumference.
