noteworthy items

Lately I've been at a loss what to blog about?
Then today happened. As I watched our day unfold, I realized that noteworthy items were occurring all around us.

#1- Sleeping Beauty Sleeps
After Bryn got out of the shower she laid on the towel and literally fell asleep! I covered her with a blanket and there she was for over an hour. This has never happened before. We missed a fun playgroup due to this incident, but she must have needed the sleep?

#2- Buddy Boy's 1st prayer
(this picture was staged and taken after the actual prayer)
I was preparing lunch, when I suddenly heard a sweet little voice talking. I glanced over to find Lukas' head down, arms folded, and saying words I didn't understand. Then he said as clear as day, "amen." I was so proud of him! It was totally unprompted, and a 1st for him. When I realized what he was doing I walked over to help him out, and he literally said, "no, I do it!"
Side note: This child is sporting a diaper only, because it was laundry day. To say the least, I need to get the boy some more clothes.
#3-10 minute tickle challenge
Mitch ate this canned soup my Mom left at our house. Aztec something with meatballs-yikes. I was typing on my computer when I hear him say...
Mitch: "Are you ready for a 10 minute tickle challenge"
Me: "Yes. Of course."
I turn around and look at the challenge.
Me: "Oh no, not the meatballs."
Mitch: "If you can do it in 3 bites, I'll tickle your back for 10 minutes tonight."

Outcome-Not proud to admit I followed through, but looking forward to the reward.

#4-Where's my brain?
Attempted to put my chapstick on today, with the lid still on!!!
As I was rubbing it across my lips I thought," gee, this feels different than usual. Must have really dry lips." But I continued through the motion, twice. Finally I figured it out.

Oh how I've missed your blogs. I know you won't disappoint when I need a good laugh. I hope Bryn isn't getting the sickness going around. Anna fell asleep on the floor over the weekend (first time for her too) before coming down with this nasty virus. On another note, those "meatballs" wouldn't have been worth 10 minutes of tickles for me. I don't know how you ate them...

How is it that Bryn sleeps with a smile. I bet you sleep the same way! Always nice and happy.
I love your kids, they always make me laugh. And the thing you and Mitch think up are so funny.

Oops. Michell forgot to write that Bryn's picture was also staged after the fact. Hence the smile.

I love, love, love all of the cute things Bryn says. She is such a good girl, because she has love and logic parents of course! Now, would you kindly come and visit me again????

Oh Katie....those meatballs could not be worth 1000 minutes of tickling!!! You must be very desperate indeed! :) I loved each and every one of your noteworthy items - thanks for making me giggle!

Those meatballs kind of look like cocoa puffs. Or dog food.
