An official report that is 2 weeks overdue. My apologies.
My guy surprised me with a fabulous party...80's style.
I can't believe all the coordinating that went into this, and how clueless I was. We went out for the evening, returned home at 10:30pm to a dark unassuming house. Little did I know that when I rounded the kitchen corner there would be a room full of amazing girls, dressed to impress in their 80's gear. From head to toe, it was a blast from the past. After some cheering and excitement, I went upstairs to change into some more appropriate attire, and grab the 50 slap bracelets I've been saving for a special day. I ordered them over a year ago, just in case we ever decided to have an 80's party.
Me and my girls partied until 3:30am in the basement that was totally decked out with disco lights, streamers, balloons, posters from the 80's, a nintendo, and an amazing soundtrack with professional dj speakers. It was totally legit. A few of us then took the party around town. We went dancing on main street, and down the aisles at Smith's. The little town was pretty much dead, but we definitely brought some excitement... and may or may not have been recorded by some lucky viewers?!
Thank you to everyone who came to this ridiculously late, but oh so fun party. A special thanks goes out to Amy and Tracie. You girls went above and beyond. Thank you! It was so much fun having friends from high school, college, the big city, and the current "hood". Wish I would have taken time to get pictures of everyone. All of the pics are mainly of the current "hood" girls. Loves ya all!
