Mitch was gone all last week on the "steezy riders tour," and I couldn't bring myself to post about it until he was home safe and sound. They rode 1900 miles round trip on Harley Davidson's and made some snowboarding stops along the way as they filmed for a video. Here are some highlights.
*Hanging out with his best friends (Jer & JP)
*Snowboarding, and getting a new trick
*Riding a Harley (not his...just a rental)
*Filming for the video
*Camping out on the last night
Mitch has traveled a lot throughout his snowboarding career. He's been to different countries and sometimes gone for weeks at a time, but this particular trip was the most stressful for me. I was fine when he was chucking himself off of cliffs, and down rails on a snowboard, but the thought of him on Harley on the open road scared me to death! I knew he would have so much fun with his friends, but I feared for his life everyday. I prayed constantly. Sometimes when I was running on the treadmill I would imagine the worst and bring myself to tears. I am so thankful that he had a good time, and was able spend time with his best friends, but I am most thankful that he is home safe! I love you Mitch, and I love that you don't own a Harley.

I can only assume you are the one who found me on Richie & Julies blog--I am so happy you did!! Your blog is so cute-maybe someday I will learn how to make my blog cute too. Cute family, cute EVERYTHING! Sunless tanning is the best. I have not tanned in two years and love that I don't even think about sun anymore because I can get a tan from a tube. I'll check in on ya now-and-then--
I would be the same way about Dan -I would think horrible things that could happen to him and that would bring me to tears! I am glad Mitch is back safe. You are too cute!
Yea...I'm not really sure what steezy means. I can hear Mitch saying it, but I'm not sure if it is a cross between sleezy and stupendous or maybe steep and queezy. Good work on the Harleys, Mitch. Sounds fun! My dad got me a bike once but my mom made him take it back. ouch.
It sounds like Mitch had a fabulous time. I agree with you....I would've been a nervous wreck, but I'm glad to hear that he made it home safe. What an awesome experience.
P.S. I am so sad I won't be running in the Wasatch Back :( You guys will have so much fun!
Katie - I had so much fun reading your blog. Why didn't you tell me you had a blog? I can't remember if I sent you an invite to our blog, I'll check and send you one if I didn't. Your family is precious.

Aww.. that was sweet, Katie. I loved the visual of the tearing up on the treadmill. Sounds like something I would do. :)
Glad Mitch is safe and sound. How much fun is his life, though? So jealous of his adreneline rushes! :)
Katie...I saw your comment on Mandy's blog (I'm running the Wasatch Back as well). By the way....I met a really good friend of yours. Our kids are in Little Gym together...Cher. She is one rad girl, I can see why you two hit it off!
You have an adorable little family! Maybe we'll be running the same 'leg' in the race....

So glad he's back! Sounds like an amazing trip!!
I HATE MOTORCYCLES. But, I do love that I know a minor celebrity. Glad he's home safe!
I must say your lives are so much more interesting than mine! haha
Tell you what- I'll make you some flyers and you make me less boring. Deal? haha
That is so awesome! I would be freaking myself out until he was home safe too! You are a runner? I love to run too! but am finding it hard to go much with my two boys!
