Currently training for the Wasatch Back, and recently realized that I am in over my head! Yes, I run occasionally, for fun, when the weather is nice-but nothing serious that requires one to actually train.
Though I follow the suggested training (run 4 x's a week), I have also developed some of my own unique training methods. Methods that include eating chocolate milkshakes regularly, large order of french fries from the DK, strawberry pie, heavily buttered toast (wheat of course), greasy bowling alley hamburgers, to name a few. As you can see, I am very serious about following a strict regimen for appropriately training.
Our team name is "Girls Just Want to Run" 80's theme. I am in charge of decorations (sayings for the banners, things to write on cars, a few small costume pieces, etc...), so if you have an ideas please let me know. This will be a great experience (positive affirmations...). I hope to live.

Hi Katie,
This is Jami Shaw, I just joined the blogging world and found your blog off of Camille and Jonny's. Anyway, cute blog! I love it!! So do you still need people to join your team for the Wasatch Back? What day do you actually run it?
I love it. I think that you deserve to eat whatever you want if you are running that much (at least that is my motto). So, are you guys still needing me as an alternate because I am there :)
That looks like good fun, Katie. I'm impressed! You've always been a good runner - what are you getting all modest on us for? :)
oh man! I would love to join your team...but not this year for me. I'll join your diet regimen though, sounds like I'll fit right in. I'm craving DK now, thanks!
Katie you rock! I'm seriously impressed! I want to see you cross the finish line with a chocolate shake in your hand!!
Good taste is right :o). Don't worry that I blogstalked you ages ago, I was just to shy to say "hi". So, Hi! I love Bryn by the way. She is so smart!!!
You can do it Katie!!! But then again, I think you can really do anything because I have seen you try all sorts of things and ALWAYS do fantastic at them all.
T
So your diet isn't the way to go about training?!?! Sounds like my kind of diet.
What are the decorations for? Finish line?
Katie,
I am sooooo impressed! Richie and I would love to do something like this someday (if we ever make it back to utah :) I am sure you will do great - good luck with your training, the diet sounds like the best part!
That's amazing, Katie! I'm sure you'll do great!
That sounds insane! (in a good way lol)
Yes, what ARE the decorations for?
YOU GO GIRL! Way to be!
I really think you need to start including the bowling alley foot long hot dog in your training regimen. It will definately boost you over those last hills.
Don't you agree that Angels and Demons was WAY better than The DaVinci Code?
Kay so I totally commented, but I guess I wasn't patient enough to wait for it to post before clicking out of it so it didn't save. I would be totally in if I know where and when. It looks like fun and I will be training for the st. george marathon so it would be good running distances to break up my long runs. Anyway, let me know the details. I also think I will be running the provo canyon 1/2 marathon in August. Got to get them all in before I get prego again. Let me know the details for sure.
Wow! Good for you, it sounds like a lot of fun! Who all is on your team? You'll have to take lots of pics!Good Luck-
Hey girl. Just think, if you die, we'll at least die together because this IT band injury of mine isn't letting up. So, I may not be able to walk for months afterward, but I've resolved that I will finish it proudly! I'm so proud of you.
Kate,
How fun is this? I can't wait. We are going to get to run and then go to DK all we want in June!
